Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in that part of the island of Montreal known as the West Island. Many people unfamiliar with the word frequently think that it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal However, in reality the West Island is home to every aspect of the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief time in the city was not. Brugel grew to be a young woman within Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. She aspired to be a professional dancer, but due to an explosive increase in her height, she outgrew the dance partners she had. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was six feet and one inches tall. Once I was bigger than the size of my male companion then I slowed down. The Brugel is one of the former dancers that turned to acting. Her high school teacher school encouraged her in the right direction. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to take on a part in the school's annual production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the principal character of Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. This led to her being awarded a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University. The career of Brugel spans more than 20 years and she's appeared in 60 different productions, both on big screens and smaller ones. Her most notable role was the one of Rita (pictured below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in Season 1 which was viewed only on occasion.
